Connecting to Zeal

Modpack Install

The server runs a modpack that will need to be installed before you can connect. The only way to download the modpack is with the FTB client.
The FTB client will download all mods, and manage the launching of the game without needing to worry about installing and running modded MineCraft.

  • Download and Install FTB APP from https://www.feed-the-beast.com/ftb-app.
  • Open the FTB App and click on Browse. (the magnifying glass on the left side)
  • Search for 'Direwolf20 1.18' and press the green install button.
  • Select the version 1.9.1 of the pack.

The modpack will download and be avalible to run on main page of the FTB App once installed.

Modpack update

Follow the normal install instructions, then copy these files and folders from the old instance folder to the new instance folder.
(Skip any missing files or folders in this step.)

  • knownkeys.txt
  • options.txt
  • reauth.toml
  • servers.dat

Server Address

To connect you will need to add the server to the multiplayer config.
Select 'Multiplayer' on the main screen, and then select 'Add Server'.
Enter the following details

  • Name: Zeal (or any custom title, this is for your benefit)
  • Address:

How to request access

The server is a whitelisted server, this means that your access must be granted.
To request access you will need to send the following details to ‘nightred+zealmc [at] gmail.com’.

  • Your minecraft character name.
  • Your sponsor's name if you have one.
  • How long you have been playing MC aproximatly, we do not reject new players but it helps to know if you will need guidance.
  • What type of activities you like to do, like building factories, exploring the world, making artisitic creations.
  • If you can provide examples of builds. (imgur album preferred)
