Performance

Increase the allocated memory.

• Right-click on the pack, then select Edit Instance.
• Select the Settings tab on the left.
• Tick the Memory checkbox.
• Enter 4096 in the Minimum memory allocation and 6144 in the Maximum memory allocation boxes, in megabytes (MB).
• Click Close in the lower-right.

Java 17 64 bit or greater must be installed.

Recommendation is to use Adoptium Java.

To improve performance the following tweaks are recommended for the best performance.

• Render Distance: 12 chunks
• Clouds: OFF
• Use VSync: OFF

The following settings are recommended but do not effect performance.

• MAX Framerate: 60 fps
